Turn Your Screen Time
Into Prayer Time.

Pray before you scroll. Walk to unlock. Build a daily rhythm. Keep your prayer private. Road to Emmaus is a quiet routine that compounds into real change.

🔒 Prayer Lock

Prayer Lock is how Road to Emmaus helps turn screen time into prayer time. When you begin prayer, the apps you choose are shielded using Apple's Screen Time controls. Your apps stay locked until you finish your walk, so distractions stay out of the way while the rhythm is still unfolding.

You choose what to shield

Select specific apps or entire categories. Your selections are saved and reused across sessions. Change them anytime in Settings.

Scheduled Prayer Lock

Your selected apps can lock automatically at your saved prayer times, using the same routine that anchors reminders.

Built on Apple's controls

Prayer Lock uses Apple's FamilyControls and Screen Time framework. Your app selections never leave your device.

365 Contemplative Prayers

Pray before you scroll. Put God before the feed. Road to Emmaus includes a full year of original contemplative prayers, each capped at 80 words and written in a broad Christian tone that stays welcoming across denominations.

Text-only presentation

No titles, no icons, no scripture chrome. Just the prayer text, revealed line by line with soft fade animations.

Repeat walks welcome

Finish your prayer walk and want to begin again? Start another session the same day with a fresh prayer from the library.

Daily Check-In

Before each prayer, two optional prompts let you name what you need — Peace, Focus, Strength, Trust, or Gratitude — and how the day feels — Heavy, Restless, Steady, or Hopeful. Your answers personalize the session without being stored.

🚶 Walk to Unlock

After the prayer, you walk. Steps are counted in real time using your phone's motion sensor, displayed in a circular progress ring over a contemplative Emmaus-road illustration. The walk is how you unlock again and return with more peace, focus, and discipline.

Personalized step goals

Set your goal between 100 and 15,000 steps. During onboarding, the app suggests a starting point based on your activity level.

Session recovery

Take a phone call mid-walk? Switch apps? The session can re-query your step count and resume where you left off.

🔥 Build a Daily Rhythm

See your faith grow, one day at a time. Every completed prayer walk counts toward your streak and weekly rhythm. Road to Emmaus tracks consecutive days, weekly completions, total prayer walks, and lifetime steps walked — a micro-habit that compounds into real change.

🔔 Prayer Reminders

Choose up to five daily prayer times. Each one can trigger a gentle reminder to bring you back before the day pulls you away. Your saved prayer times also support Scheduled Prayer Lock, so the same rhythm can protect your attention automatically.

📤 Shareable Completion Cards

After each walk, the app generates a poster-style completion card showing your step count, streak, and the day of the week — designed to be shared without ever showing the prayer text itself.

🛡 Your Prayer Stays Private

Built for trust, not tracking. Road to Emmaus has no backend server, no account system, no tracking or analytics, no AI prayer pipeline, no cloud prayer storage, and no ads. Your prayer data, streak history, and step counts stay on your device.

No accounts required

Your prayer life does not need a login. Just download the app and begin.

No tracking or analytics

We don't watch what you do. Your habits are yours alone.

No AI, no cloud

Prayers stay on your device. Nothing leaves your phone just to make the core experience work.

No ads, ever

Your sacred space stays sacred. No interruptions, no marketing clutter.

Warm, Contemplative Design

A warm cream palette with gold accents and soft candlelight glows. Prayer text appears in serif typography with gentle line-by-line animations. The entire aesthetic is meant to feel like opening a well-loved book, not launching an app.
